Discover the pure essence of the Pacific Northwest with our premium Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) essential oil, sustainably steam-distilled from the branches of trees hand-harvested in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. Known to First Nations peoples for centuries as the “Tree of Life,” this rich oil carries the deep balsamic scent of the forest. 100% pure and natural, our BC Western Red Cedar essential oil is perfect for aromatherapy, natural perfumery, sauna rituals, and wellness blends that evoke grounding, strength, and connection to nature.

1) Calming / grounding

  • Very popular for stress relief

  • Helps create a “stable / deep breath” feeling

  • Great for evening relaxation blends

2) Air cleansing & deodorizing

Western red cedar is excellent for:

  • musty rooms

  • closets / boots / gear rooms

  • smoke / pet odours
It’s one of the best “clean cabin” oils.

3) Respiratory support

Commonly used in diffusion blends to help:

  • open breathing

  • reduce congestion feeling

  • support seasonal comfort

(Diffuse lightly — cedar oils are strong.)

4) Skin support (diluted)

When properly diluted, cedar oils are often used for:

  • oily skin / scalp

  • rough skin areas

  • after-outdoor exposure blends

⚠️ Always dilute well (ex: 1–2% in carrier oil).

5) Natural insect-repelling vibe

Cedar is famously associated with:

  • moth deterrent

  • outdoor bug blends

  • gear storage and camping use

Important safety notes

  • Cedar oils are very potent — use low drops in diffusers.

  • Avoid internal use. Do not ingest.

  • Avoid during pregnancy unless guided by a qualified professional.

  • If using on skin: stick to 1–2% dilution and patch test.

  • Most essential oils are not designed to be applied directly on skin, rather designed to be mixed with a carrier oil.  Always perform a small patch test when applying to skin.
